I. About Nanchang Normal University（NCNU）

Nanchang Normal University（NCNU）is a public comprehensive university under the administration of Jiangxi Province, China. Being one of the earliest eight undergraduate universities in Jiangxi province, its origin can be traced back in 1952. The University is situated in Nanchang, the provincial city of Jiangxi province, as well as a famous historic and culture city on the middle and lower stretches of Yangtze River, owning Changbei and Qingshanhu campuses.

NCNU has 12 schools and 28 undergraduate majors, covering education, art, management, science, literature, engineering, law and other disciplines.At present, the university has more than 15,000 full-time students and over 800 faculty members.

The university explored in depth in primary education, featuring teacher training and teacher education. Since its establishment, it has cultivated more than 150,000 students, making outstanding contribution to the economy and social development of Jiangxi province. The university has a national language promotion base. Relying on this platform, actively guide teachers and students to carry forward the excellent Chinese culture, and has made outstanding achievements.

NCNU attaches great importance to international cooperation and exchange, it has built cooperation relation with the universities from UK, America, Indonesia and New Zealand, etc. In 2019, NCNU jointly established Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI) with Udayana University in Indonesia and Nanchang University, China. TCI at Udayana University has always embraced “Chinese+Tourism” specialism in a bid to train local tourism talents who know Chinese and Chinese culture well.

 II.One Year Chinese Language Studies Program（Non-degree）

The program welcomes international students who have great interest in Chinese language and culture. Students will be awarded certificate upon completion of the program. Students who pass HSK4 can apply for admission to the undergraduate program.

Main courses: Comprehensive Chinese Reading, Speaking, Listening, Chinese Characters, HSK training, Paper cutting, Calligraphy, Chinese Tea culture and Music,Dance, Wushu etc.

III.Fees

Tuition fee: ￥8,000/ year

Accommodation fee: ￥1,000/ year

IV.Scholarship

 Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship

Funded by the Jiangxi Provincial Government, this scholarship will provide partial tuition remission for all outstanding self-supporting students in Jiangxi Province. The university will conduct a comprehensive evaluation on all outstanding international students in Jiangxi Province according to the notice issued by the local education authorities, in accordance with the principles of notarization, openness and fairness, and issue the scholarship after approval. The specific scholarship conditions and requirements are subject to the current notification.

        Nanchang Normal University scholarship

Funded by Nanchang Normal University, part of the tuition fee will be waived for outstanding international students who apply for the self-funded study program of Nanchang Normal University. The university will conduct a comprehensive evaluation on students in accordance with the principles of fairness, openness and fairness, and will issue the payment after approval.

      VI.Application Procedure

Step1

Email the scanned copies of application documents to us (ncsfxygjc@163.com).

Step2

Attend the entrance exams or interviews organized by the Nanchang Normal University

Step 3

Applicants who are admitted to Nanchang Normal University will receive the

Visa application for study in China (JW 202 /DQ) and Nanchang Normal University

Admission Notice.

Step 4

Applicants who are admitted can apply for the student visa (X1/X2)

from the Chinese Embassy or consulate in your country with the

original copies of the Visa Application for Study in China(JW 202 /DQ)

and the Admission Notice.

Step 5

Students should come to Nanchang Normal University with the Admission Notice to enroll, register and pay the tuition fee punctually according to the date stated on the Admission Notice.
